Deep Conditioning!

Hey guys, I’m back!!!

I just want to say that I decided to post this blog to talk to people that are as interested in hair as I am! When I decided to go on my natural hair journey I didn’t have anyone to talk to, I felt alone so I just want to share with you guys information that I would’ve loved to know while I was going through my journey and also just to help those of you who may not be going through the natural hair journey but are interested in maintaining or even getting shiny, healthy hair!

On my last blog I said that I was going to talk to you guys about Deep conditioning so here it goes!

It is VERY important that you deep condition your hair, but even more important IF:

*You dye or color your hair

*You relax your hair

*You straighten your hair

All of the reason stated above cause your hair to dry or to become brittle, so it is important to keep your hair moisturized and feeling loved ;)

For those of you that read my Olive Oil Treatment Blog…that is a form of deep conditioning but I also use a deep conditioner ONCE a week in addition to my Olive Oil Treatment I do once every two weeks!

My favorite is Mixed Chicks Deep Conditioner (which I stated before) and although I don’t think Miss Jessie’s "Styling Products" are right for my hair their deep conditioner called Rapid Recovery is very good and is great for deep conditioning!!!! If you guys already have a favorite deep conditioner feel free to use that…it is perfectly fine as long as it’s a deep conditioner!

So my weekly routine is that I wash my hair ONCE a week with Mixed Chicks Shampoo, then deep condition it with Mixed Chicks Deep Conditioner or Miss Jessie’s Rapid Recovery Deep Conditioner ( I usually alternate between the two just because I have both, but you don’t have to alternate) After putting in deep conditioner I comb it through my hair with a wide tooth comb (wide tooth combs prevent breakage…especially with curly hair) then I place my famous shower cap on for 30 minutes again or I sometimes just put my hair in a bun with no shower cap and leave it in as I sleep until the next morning, then I rinse it out with cold water and then style as usual!

I hope this helps you guys but if you have any questions feel free to ask I would love to help you out if I can!!! Tomorrow I will talk to you guys about my daily routine and what products I use :)

God Bless,

Only1Frenchy

Okay this is wonderful because I also have curly hair but I have a relaxer, but my daughter is 8 and her hair is almost to her butt and it is really curly and puffy. So I will do that. This is good information honey.
